A recent video of Cactus, the rescue dog, gave an update on what his life is like now with his new cat roomie, Miso. The internet has undoubtedly continued to tune in for the furbabies’ rollercoaster journey, which has been packed with ups and downs since they were first introduced. Last month, the rescue pup and his dad, Mike Brown, welcomed Miso into their home. However, “Cactus’s reaction was not great.”
Cactus and Miso’s new video, which has now gone viral, shows how they eventually warmed up to each other. The first clip gave a glimpse of how the roommates’ journey started — “side-eyes, standoffs, and plenty of space between them.” It showed Cactus getting uneasy and growling after he saw Miso. Seemingly, the cat’s mom held the feline in her arms while the rescue pup’s dad kept trying to hold him back. Brown even kept saying, “It’s okay. He’s a good boy. He’s good.”
However, Cactus kept growling. Shortly after, Brown tried introducing them again. Meanwhile, someone in the room said, “Miso wants to be friends.” The cat’s mom lovingly added, “It’s okay,” and kept looking at both the furbabies. The video then transitioned to a clip of Cactus and Miso hanging around each other. It showed how their journey is going now — “naps together, playtime, and real-deal friendship.”
The caption of the Instagram Reel further noted that “it took time, patience, and a few treats.” Eventually, Cactus and Miso “figured it out.” Meanwhile, their foes to friends journey video continues winning hearts and has racked up over one million views at the time of writing.
