The “Raya and the Last Dragon” star Awkwafina adopted the pet pooch from Korean K9 Rescue in New York. The actress initially had no intention of adopting a dog. She visited the center to support their good work. But when she met Haeng-Un, she instantly fell in love with him. Soon after, she adopted the furry friend and took him home.
Even Korean K9 Rescue thanked the star on Instagram for her noble deed. Korean K9 Rescue’s mission was founded in founded in 2017 by Gina Boehler. They rescue dogs from Boehler’s native South Korea and bring them to New York for fostering and adoption, in the hope of providing a forever home.

This is not Awkwafina’s first pet. She also has a beloved cat named Gus who is very talented. During an appearance on “Live with Kelly and Ryan,” the actress spoke about her feline’s unique trait saying “He can do paw. He can sit. He can pee-pee in the toilet. He can’t go No. 2 because he can’t find the balance, but No. 1 he can do,” leaving everyone laughing.
